Job Title: Associate TraderDepartment / Division: Brokerage Department
This specific vacancy is in the Brokerage Department. The role of the Associate Trader in the Execution Brokerage team is to ensure timely and effective execution of client orders while managing ongoing relationships with institutional clients and counterparties. The position involves executing trades across multiple asset classes, assisting in new product developments and product selection, providing market insights, and ensuring regulatory and operational compliance throughout the trade lifecycle.Key Responsibilities· Execute client orders in line with best execution standards and ensure accurate settlement in trading systems
· Manage accounts of institutional clients, including onboarding and ongoing support
· Construct and propose client portfolios, with a focus on bonds, structured notes, and other fixed income products
· Conduct Fixed Income trading and support Fixed Income desk execution and expansion
· Engage with existing and new counterparties, lead negotiations, and support onboarding and line approval processes
· Provide valuation analysis, market and product research, and insights to internal and external stakeholders
· Identify and propose new trading products and assist in their implementation across the firm
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field is required
Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CISI, FRM, ACCA) are considered an advantage
Required Knowledge:
Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and trading mechanics (equities, bonds, funds, FX, repos, structured products)
In-depth knowledge of Fixed Income products, portfolio construction, and trade execution processes
Solid grasp of regulatory requirements including AML, ISMA, and local (NBG) compliance standards
Working knowledge of operational and post-trade procedures (clearing, settlement, reconciliation)
Proficiency with trading platforms and financial tools such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and internal order management systems
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in brokerage, trading, or capital markets, preferably in a client-facing or execution-related role
Experience working with institutional clients and/or Wealth Management clients
Prior involvement in onboarding processes, market analysis, or product development is a plus
Track record of working with multiple stakeholders across Back/Middle Office, Compliance, Legal, and Risk functions
Exposure to international markets and dealing with counterparties across geographies is an advantage
